“காவலன்” படத்தில் நடித்து முடித்துவிட்ட இளைய தளபதி விஜய் தற்போது “வேலாயுதம்” படத்தில் பி்ஸியாகவுள்ளார். பிரபல வார நாளிதழ் ஒன்றுக்கு சமீபத்தில் இளைய தளபதி விஜய் ஸ்பெஷல் பேட்டியளித்துள்ளார். “தமிழ் சினிமாவை தொடர்ந்து கவனித்துவருபவர் நீங்கள், இன்றைய தமிழ்சினிமா எப்படி இருக்கிறது” என்ற நிறுபரின் கேள்விக்கு பதிலளித்துள்ளார் விஜய்.

அவர் கூறியிருப்பதாவது :

இந்தப்படத்தின் இறுதிக் கட்ட காதல் காட்சிகள் படப்பிடிப்பு,  சென்னை வளசரவாக்கத்தில் உள்ள புஷ்பா ஹார்ட்டிக் கல்சர் கார்டனில் நடந்து வருகிறது. இங்கே விஜயைத் தேடி வரும் நிருபர்கள் “ சீமான் இயக்கத்தில் நடிக்க இருகிறீர்களா?” என்ற கேள்வியையும், “ 3 இடியட்ஸ் எந்தக் கட்டத்தில் இருகிறது?” என்ற கேள்வியையும் கேட்கத்தவறவில்லை. ஆனால் விஜய்,  சீமான் கேள்விக்கு முற்றாக பதில் சொல்வதை தவிர்த்து விட்டதோடு,  அதுபத்தி எதுவும் போட்டுடாதீங்க என்றார்.

விஜயுடன் நடிக்கும் வேலாயுதம் படத்தில் டி.வி. நிருபராக வருகிறார் நடிகை ஜெனிலியா.

தமிழில் பாய்ஸ் படத்தில் அறிமுகமானவர் ஜெனிலியா. பின்னர் சச்சின், சந்தோஷ் சுப்பிரமணியம் போன்ற படங்களில் நடித்தார். சந்தோஷ் சுப்பிரமணியம் படத்தில் இவரது நடிப்பு மிகவும் பேசப்பட்டது.

’3 இடியட்ஸ்’ படத்தில் தான் நடிக்க விரும்புவதாக ஸ்ரீகாந்த் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். எந்த இயக்குனரும் தங்கள் படங்களில் ஸ்ரீகாந்தை நடிக்கும்படி கேட்டுக்கொள்ளாத போதிலும், ஸ்ரீகாந்த தானாகவே முன் வந்து நடிக்க விரும்புவதாக தெரிவித்துள்ளார். ’3 இடியட்ஸ்’ போன்ற படங்களில் தப்பி தவறி வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்துவிட்டால், மீண்டும் ஒருமுறை திரையுலகை வலம் வரலாம் என்பது ஸ்ரீகாந்தின் எண்ணம் போல. ஒரு ரூபாய் கூட சம்பளம் பெறாமல் ’3 இடியட்ஸ்’ படத்தின் தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்குப் பதிப்புகளில் தான் நடிக்கத் தயார் என்று கூறியுள்ள ஸ்ரீகாந்த், ‘ஜெமினி பிலிம் சர்க்யூட்டிற்காக’ இப்படத்தில் நடிக்க விரும்புகிறாராம்.

“விண்ணைத் தாண்டி வருவாயா” படத்தின் இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவை லண்டனில் நடத்தினாலும் நடத்தினார்கள், அதன் பிறகு வெளிநாட்டில் இசை வெளியீடு என்னும் பித்து கோடம்பாக்கத்தைப் பிடித்து ஆட்டுகிறது. எந்திரன் , மன்மதன் அம்பு என்று சூப்பர் ஸ்டார்களின் படங்களுக்கு வெளிநாட்டுச் சந்தை இருப்பதால் அவர்கள் அங்கே இசையை வெளியிடுவதில் ஒரு அர்த்தம் இருகிறது. இதே டிரெண்டில் ஒச்சாயி படத்திற்கு ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் இசை வெளியீடு என்று சின்ன பட்ஜெட் படங்களின் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள்கூடக் கடல் கடந்த இசை வெளியீட்டில் காதலாகிப் பித்துப் பிடித்து அலைகிறார்கள்.

விஜய்யின் “காவலன்” படத்தின் வெளிநாட்டு உரிமையை 6 கோடிக்கு விற்ற வகையில் உற்சாகமாக இருக்கும் அந்தபடத்தின் தயாரிப்பாளர் சக்தி சிதம்பரம், “மன்மதன் அம்புக்கு முன்பு நாம் சிங்கப்பூரில் இசையை வெளியிட்டுவிடலாமா?” என்று விஜயிடம் கேட்க, “சாரி என்று மறுத்துவிட்டாராம் விஜய். இசை வெளியீட்டு விழாவைச் சென்னையிலேயே வைத்துக்கொள்ளலாம் என்று கூறிவிட்டாராம். இதனால் காவலன் இசை வெளியீட்டை சென்னையிலேயே நவம்பர் இரண்டாவது வாரம் வெளியிட இருக்கிறார்களாம்.

இந்த விழாவை வித்தியாசாகருக்கான ஒரு பாராட்டு விழாவாகவும் நடத்தலாம் என்று யோசனை நல்கியிருக்கிறார் விஜய். காரணம் வித்யாசாகருக்குக் “காவலன்” 245-வது படமாம்.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay saves Hansika!

Hansika is acting in a Tamil film titled Velayudham with Vijay and Genelia.

As Genelia is shooting with Ram Charan for the Orange movie in Australia, the makers of this movie are shooting the scenes between Hansika and Vijay first.

Today the shooting was in Pollachi area situated in the Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu.

And during one scene, Hansika and Vijay were supposed to walk near the edge of a mountain. During the scene Hansika suddenly lost balance and was about to fall down, but was duly pulled over by Vijay!

Later speaking to the media, she said that she felt dizzy as she was standing at such a height and thanked Vijay from pulling her back!

HANSIKA BUSY WITH VIJAY

Hansika is busy in Pollachi shooting for Velayudham with Vijay. The actress, who is yet to have a Tamil film release, says that she is waiting with bated breath for Engeyum Kadhal and Mappillai. Ask her which one would hit the screens first, and Hansika says that the release date is not in her hands.

The audio launch of Engeyum Kadhal is slated to take place soon and there is one more song to be shot for Mappillai. It is really tricky to predict which of these two films will come out first.

Engeyum Kadhal is directed by Prabhu Deva and Mappillai has Dhanush playing Hansika’s lead pair.

Velayutham: Commercial entertainer

After completing Kaavalan, Ilayathalapathy Vijay is currently busy with Jayam Raja's Velayutham, produced by Aascar Ravichandran. Genelia and Hansika Motwani play the female leads.

Meanwhile director Raja has confirmed to Galatta.com that Velayutham will be an out-an-out commercial entertainer which will be a treat for audiences. He also revealed that the film is shaping up well.

Interesting, this is Jayam Raja's first original script!

Vidya is actually a Vijay favourite from his early days and Kaavalan is their seventh film together after- Coimbatore Maapillai, Nilaave Vaa, Tirumalai, Ghilli, Aathi and Kuruvi. Who can forget the combo’s super chartbuster, Appadi Podu…, which music critics say is the ultimate koothu pattu in Tamil films. Now Vidyasagar and Vijay are coming together after a break with Kaavalan. Vidya has tuned five songs for the film, which he feels is going to be a different musical trip. Vidyasagar said: ” Kaavalan music is going to be something totally different from what I had done with Vijay earlier. I have experimented with melody and it is altogether a new experience. Director Shankar over the moon as magnum opus Endhiran, drawing crowds in all the versions. The trade analysts have predicted that there will be house-packed shows for the next three weeks. The filmmaker was recently in Mumbai for the promotion of the Hindi version, The Robot and screened the film for the Bollywood celebrities.

He happened to shake hands with the team of 3 Idiots makers (producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, director Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan) as they walked on the red carpet premiere of The Robot. Shankar was reported of getting some tips from the team, as it happens to be the first remake project in Shankar’s career.
Earlier, Shankar had approached Madhavan and Silambarasan to perform the lead roles alongside Vijay. But as they turned down the offer, Shankar has finally confirmed Jeeva and Siddarth for the roles. Shankar’s closer sources report that Jeeva will be enacting Madhavan’s role while Sharman Joshi’s character will be performed by Siddarth. Harris Jayaraj will score music to the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Manoj Paramahamsa has been signed to handle the cinematography.
Shankar has plans of completing the film’s shooting within a span of 6 months as producers want the film to be released in the summer vacations of 2011. But the director is yet to find Miss Idiot.

Kaavalan in Chandramukhi palace

When the Kavalan team was shooting in Kerala, they happened to visit the palace where Manichithirathal (Chandramukhi original) was shot.Immediately, the director of Kavalan, Siddique, decided to can a shot in the palace for the sake of sentiment. Manichithirathal turned out to be a blockbuster and the film was remade in Tamil and Kannada. The Tamil version, Chandramukhi had Rajinikath playing the lead and it went on to become a super duper hit.

The scene was shot by cinematographer N. K. Ekambaram on the film’ s lead pair Vijay and Asin and is said to have come out well. Kavalan is expected to be released on December 24th, 2010.

Vijay eyes 'Brindavanam'

Whenever a big Telugu film releases and declared a hit, Kollywood gets exited and there will be a great competition to acquire its remake rights. Most of the recent super hits of actors like Vijay, Dhanush and ‘Jayam’ Ravi have their roots in Tollywood.
 
Last Friday 'Brindavanam' starring Junior NTR was released and was declared a success. As soon as the news reached Kollywood, the game started.
 
Buzz says Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay had a sneak preview of the Telugu film at a city preview theatre on Saturday with his family and close friends. After the film Vijay was all smiles which connoted a lot of things.
 
Does that mean it is Vijay who will play in ‘Brindavanam’ in Tamil? The film has a very entertaining plot with all Action, Comedy and Romantic elements.

SHANKAR TO BEGIN WITH MAHESH BABU… NOT VIJAY

Director Shankar may begin the shooting of the Telugu version of 3 Idiots in December as he had already obtained the call sheet of Mahesh Babu. The Tamil version will begin sometime later as Vijay’s dates are mixed up with his other projects.

Jiiva is set to play one of the roles in Tamil. There is a talk that Siddharth and Arya are in the race for yet another important role. Shankar may rope in either of them as both enjoy immense popularity in Kollywood and Tollywood.

So, for now, the Tamil version still looks bleak with nothing finalized.

‎'3 Idiots’ first song composed

Harris Jayaraj is extremely busy these days. He is shuttling between Kollywood and Tollywood with a long list of films in his hands. But the music composer has nothing to complain about it.A few days ago, Harris gave director Shankar the first tune for the remake of ‘3 Idiots’. This is the second time for him to work with the filmmaker, with the first being ‘Anniyan’ in 2005.“The first tune has been given to Shankar for ‘3 Idiots’. The film will have Mahesh Babu in Telugu and Vijay in Tamil”, the music composer, who is fresh from his visit to composer Vivaldi’s house in Venice said.Meanwhile, two films of Harris Jayaraj (‘Engeyum Kadhal’ in Tamil and ‘Orange’ in Telugu) will have their audio releases on the same day- October 24. “Totally six tracks in ‘Orange’ and ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ will be launched with seven tracks”, he said.

தெலுங்கில் மகேஷ் பாபு ஹீரோவாக நடிக்கிறார். இதனையடுத்து டிசம்பர் 6 முதல் 3 இடியேட்ஸ் படத்தின் தெலுங்கு பதிப்பை முதலில் தொடங்குகிறார் ஷங்கர். மகேஷ் பாபுவின் கால்ஷீட் பிரச்சனை காரணமாக 3 இடியேட்ஸ் படத்தை முதலில் தெலுங்கில் தொடங்குகிறார். படத்திற்கு ஹாரிஸ் ஜெயராஜ் இசையமைக்கிறார்.

‘பகலவன்’ விஜய் ரசிகர்களுக்கு விருந்து-கலைப்புலி தானு!

பார்த்து பார்த்து தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நடித்த சில படங்கள் விஜய்க்கு கைகொடுக்கவில்லை. அதனால் தன்னுடைய வழமையான பழக்கவழக்கங்களை மாற்றி தரமான படங்கள் எதுவானாலும் தனது கால்ஷீட்டினை ஒதுக்கிக் கொடுத்து வருகிறார் விஜய். அதனால் தான் இப்பொழுது விஜய்யின் கையில் ஏராளமான படங்கள் இருக்கின்றன.

அந்தவகையில்தான் இயக்குநர் சீமானின் “பகலவன்” படத்தில் நடிப்பதற்கு ஒப்பந்தம் செய்திருக்கிறார் விஜய். இயக்குநர் சீமான் தற்சமயம் சிறையில் இருக்கிறார். அங்கிருந்துகொண்டே “பகலவன்” திரைப்படத்திற்கான திரைக்கதையினை உருவாக்கி, வசனமும் எழுதி முடித்துவிட்டாராம்.

சீமானின் வழக்கு இம்மாதம் 24-ம் தேதி நீதிமன்றத்திற்க்கு வருகிறது. அவரது வக்கீல்கள் நிச்சயமாக சீமானுக்கு ஜாமீன் வழங்கப்படும் என தெரிவித்துள்ளார்கள். அப்படி அவருக்கு ஜாமீன் வழங்கப்பட்டால் வெளியில் வந்தவுடன் “பகலவன்” படத்தில் வேலைகளை ஆரம்பித்துவிடுவதாக அறிவித்துள்ளார்கள்.

WHAT’S UP WITH 3 IDIOTS REMAKE?

There is a widespread speculation about the 3 Idiots remake and every bit of news about this film is being lapped up by the movie buffs. It has now been confirmed that Mahesh Babu will play the lead role in the Telugu version while Vijay has been signed up for the Tamil version.

It has been confirmed that music director Harris Jayaraj has handed over the first tune for the Telugu film to director Shankar on October 17th. This news now confirms that the 3 Idiots remake is still on cards as opposed to the general presumption that it may be shelved following the astounding success of the Shankar-directed Endhiran.

Vijay And Mahesh Babu Officially Confirmed in 3Idiots

There are no more confusions as the unit members of Shankar’s office are sure that ‘3 Idiots’ will take off soon. Before few weeks, there were rumors pertaining to this project that Gemini Film Circuit is dropping the film due to some difference of opinion between producers and director Shankar. But it has been absolutely denied as baseless rumors.

Also the rumor about Vijay doing lead role in Telugu version has been denied and it will be Mahesh Babu taking on the character. Meanwhile, the other two characters of Jeeva and Siddarth remains unconfirmed while Ileana is likely to be signed for the female lead role.
Harris Jayaraj has also confirmed that the project is going to be worked on rapid pace and he has already completed scoring a track for Telugu version.

Asin completes kaavalan

On Friday (October 15) afternoon, the entire shoot of the Vijay-Asin Kaavalan directed by Siddique was completed.

The last shot was taken at the Birla Planetarium in Kotturpuram in Chennai and the traditional ‘Poosnikai’ was broken.
Now what remains is only a song which will be shot abroad, some time in November. Kaavalan is a remake of Siddique’s Bodyguard from Malayalam. Says Asin: “It was wonderful working with Siddique sir and Vijay and now the talkie portion is complete”.
Asin is very happy the way the film has shaped out, as she has equal footing with Vijay and is the pivot around which the film revolves.
The Asin-Vijay combination has worked big time in the past with films like Pokkiri and Sivakasi. The buzz on Kaavalan is very good as it has been sold for a record price overseas.
Asin, unlike other actresses dubs for her own films. She is very particular about it, as she believes it brings more life to her character on screen.
Asin is now dubbing for Kaavalan and after she completes it, she will be off to Mumbai to join Salman Khan’s Ready unit.

Three rascals – The whys and why-nots?

Even after two weeks of its release the buzz about Shankar’ Magnum Opus Endhiran hasn’t eased out, but talks about his next venture Three Rascals (official remake of 3 Idiots) has started doing its rounds in media circle and among fans.

Though we haven’t got any official confirmation about the movie from Shankar’s side let us see why and why should not there be 3 Rascals.
Why?
1) Just because of the plot – Yes we definitely need a story like 3 idiots which questions the current educational system in India where students focus is merely on marks rather than knowledge. Certain dialogues can really drive one to think in a different way. For e.g. Aamir Khan questions, “Rewind your life for a minute, did we ever think that we will learn something new today which we will enjoy in our life at some point?” Wise, right?
2) When you make your dream come true and when you are literally tired of making a real biggie after working for more than two and half years you really need to indulge yourself in a quickie where you pause your experimentation mode and make a simple and feel good movie.
3) Reports say that 3 Rascals will be a quickie and will not take 2 years of production time as Shankar’s other film do. And Shankar’s fans do not want to wait for another 3 years to get his venture released.

Why not?
1) Even though we need a subject like 3 idiots, do we want a director like Shankar to remake a film especially after doing a film like Endhiran?
2) Everyone knows how creative Shankar is, so what will be his contribution is a remake movie which was shot based on a novel.
3) Like superstar’s film Shankar’s film challenges his own previous ventures in terms of budget, quality, technical aspects … and what would we get if Shankar’s dream crosses Endhiran. Do we really need a subject like rascals or something bigger than that?
Though nothing has been officially confirmed yet Shankar will be thinking more than anyone to touch a remake subject especially at this point of his career.
Even though Shankar will not be interested in costume remakes what one would expect from Shankar is to make a movie based on the novel rather than an actual remake from B-town.

KAAVALAN CREW IN CHENNAI

Its already known that Vijay was latest seen in Kerala, shooting for his current movie Kaavalan, directed by Siddiq. Now the latest update is that, Kaavalan team is back in chennai and shooting has already commenced at Pushpa Gardens in Chennai, wherein the shooting would continue for the next 3 days, after which the team would move ahead to a foreign location, for a song shoot and the shooting of the movie would get completed with the song shoot after which the post prodution and other works would go on.
 
Its also finalised that the audio would hit the market next month and the movie is all getting released during the last week of december, as a christmas and new year treat for all.Vijay has ensured that each shot that he is working on comes good and is keen to have a good comeback with this movie. 

3Idiots To Start December 6

The Telugu remake of the Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots is set to roll from December 6th. The film to be produced under the banner of Gemini Film Circuit will be directed by Shankar. It will have Mahesh Babu in the lead role. Ileana will play the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu. This will be their second film together after the all time hit Pokiri. It is said that Ary@ and Jiva are being considered to play other principal roles. Looks like Tamil version With Vijay In Lead Will Start parallel on that day itself.Harris Jayaraj is scoring the music of the film and two songs have already been recorded.

நடிகர் விஜய்  நேரத்தில் செய்த உதவியால், மரணத்தின் விளிம்பிலிருந்த சிறுவன் காப்பாற்றப்பட்டான்.

ஆந்திராவைச் சேர்ந்த சிறுவன் யஷ்வந்த். அவனுக்கு சிறு வயதிலேயே ரத்த அழுத்தம் இருந்தது. வாந்தி, தலைவலியால் அவதிப்பட்டான். மூக்கில் இருந்தும் அடிக்கடி ரத்தம் வழிந்தது.

ஆந்திராவில் நிறைய மருத்துவமனைகளில் சிகிச்சைக்காக சேர்த்தும் டாக்டர்கள் காப்பாற்ற முடியாது என கை விரித்தனர். அறுவைச் சிகிச்சை செய்தால் உயிருக்கு ஆபத்து ஏற்படும் என்று சொல்லி வீட்டுக்கு அனுப்பிவிட்டனர்.

The remake of 3 idiots in Tamil and Telugu with Shankar has been discussed by one and all after the release of the mega budget movie Enthiran again directed by Shankar with Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead.

In the Hindi version Kareena kapoor played alongside of Amir Khan and in Tamil and Telugu Ileana has agreed to take up the lead with Vijay inTamil and maheshbabu in Telugu.
With regard to other 2 lead heros the choices still going round is Siddarth and Jiiva. We have to wait and see for the official confirmation from the producers.

Is Shankar’s ‘3 Idiots’ a quickie?

We all know Shankar, who is known for perfection, would take at least two years to complete a project. However, his forthcoming film, which is a remake of Bollywood’s ‘3 Idiots’, is expected to be a quickie.


“Shankar wants to complete the film in less than six months time. So, in all probability, you can expect the Tamil and Telugu versions of 3 Idiots for summer 2011”, say sources. While Vijay would play the lead role in the Tamil version, Mahesh Babu would replace him in the Telugu version. Ileana is the heroine in both the languages while a search is on for the remaining two protagonists roles.


Sathyaraj will play a crucial role. Harris Jayaraj will score music to the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Gautam Vasudev Menon’s lucky mascot Manoj Paramahamsa has been signed to handle the cinematography.

Vijay has surpassed Rajinikanth's record! How?? Now it is official. He has the highest number of fans in the auto rickshaw owners/drivers. Remember when Baasha was released in 1995, with Rajini as an auto rickshaw driver? In 1995, after Baasha's release, one in every 10 auto rickshaws had Rajinikanth's banner or art on it. The number of Auto Rickshaw's in Tamil Nadu at that time was around 55, 000 and around 5500 auto rickshaws had Rajinikanth's face on them.[©vijaysfan]This was a hot topic in many magazines in 1995.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s domestic Tamil Nadu market must be at an all time low, after the failure of his last release Sura.

The theatres in Tamil Nadu have threatened to boycott his next release Kaavalan, if they are not compensated for Sura’s loss. –//
But all this does not matter in the international market where Ilayathalapathy has a huge solid fan base. Now Tantra films, an overseas distributor has snapped up Vijay-Asin starrer Kaavalan at a record price.
The market buzz is that Kaavalan’s FMS (overseas) rights has been sold for Rs 6 Crore to Tantra, nearly Rs 2 crore more than what the star’s last film fetched ! The Vijay power at the overseas box-office is increasing with every film.//–
In the Indian domestic market, Kaavalan a remake of the Malayalam film Bodyguard has been sold in Kerala to Thameens Films at the rate of what normal Vijay film fetches.

She is now shooting with Vijay forKaavalan in Ottapalam near Palakkad in Kerala.  Remember she debuted in Sathyan Anthikad's 2001 Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka,which was also shot in the same location.

So for the pretty actress it is a comeback of sorts to her roots, where it started nearly a decade back. After black flags were shown at Metupalayam against Asin, shooting in her home state must be a big relief.  

Vijay and Vadivelu are also in Palakkad for the last schedule of the Siddique directed romantic comedy. Kaavalan is a remake of Dileep- Nayanthara starrer Bodyguard in Malayalam. 

The entire talkie portion of the film will be over with this shoot and only song remains to be shot in a foreign location. The film will be releasing for Christmas.

Vijay and Bala's Assistant Together

Before months, we came up with the breaking news about Super Good Films and Vijay coming together. Now, there is yet another interesting fact about this film that it will be directed by Bala’s assistant director.

He has been associated in his biggest projects that include ‘Pithamagan’, ‘Naan Kadavul’ and his upcoming release ‘Avan Ivan’. As of now, Vijay is close on the heels of completing ‘Kaavalan’ and is vigorously shooting for his other film ‘Velayudham’.

With so many projects lined-up for Vijay, It’s obvious that his fans will celebrate at least couple of his releases every year.

‘Kaavalan’: The magic of Tantra

Tantra Films, one of the popular distributors of Tamil movies in countries abroad, has acquired the FMS (foreign management screening) rights of Vijay starrer ‘Kavalan’, which is getting ready for a December release.

According to sources, the foreign distribution rights of this Vijay’s 51st film have been bagged by J K Saravana, the man behind Tantra Films, for a whopping price banking on the Vijay-Siddique combo, which delivered ‘Friends’ nearly a decade ago.

For those who want to know more about Saravana, he is one of the co-producers of ‘Chennai 600028’, the Venkat Prabhu directorial venture which set a new trend in Kollywood.

Meanwhile, sources in ‘Kavalan’ unit say Vijay is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a blockbuster. “The last schedule of the shooting is currently on and Vijay, with the help of Siddique, is monitoring each and every aspect of the film. He moves on to the next scene only after double checking it on the monitor”.

They add: “The film has shaped up well by Siddique. The Vijay-Vadivelu duo will set the screen on fire with their terrific on-screen chemistry, which would be visible after Friends, Vaseegara and Bhagavathy”.

Hopes on Vijay's 'Pagalavan'

Hopes are on a high for the explosive film in which Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay join hands with director Seeman. The title of the film ‘Pagalavan’ was lapped up by Vijay fans in a jiffy already. 

Seeman who was put in prison for his pro-Tamil public speeches in Chennai is expected to be released soon. His case is coming up for hearing on October 24 and Seeman loyalists are more than positive that their leader will be released. 

More over, Seeman is said to have completed the script of ‘Pagalavan’ even while in prison. In the film Vijay will show his anger against the non-performing system which is glitter out side but rotten inside. 

Seeman’s fiery true to life dialogues will have radical messages needed for today’s youth. ‘Pagalavan’ is going to be milestone film for Vijay according to people who follow the project closely. 

Kalaipuli S Thanu is producing the film and it is going to be a mega production true to his reputation.

Kaavalan release date

It's almost official now! Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 51st film Kaavalan, Tamil remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard starring Dileep and Nayantara, will be a Christmas treat for fans.

Reportedly the film is all set to grace theatres on December 24, 2010. Kaavalan is directed by Siddique (of Friends fame), who also directed the original version.

The film has a plot with plenty of comedy and action and brings Asin back to Kollywood after a gap.
