அதற்கு மேல் பொறுமை போயே போச்… ‘விஜய்யுடனே திரும்பப் பேசலாம். அவரை சம்மதிக்க வைக்கலாம். சூர்யாவை வேண்டாம் என்று சொல்லிவிடுங்கள்’ என்று கூறிவிட்டு, மீண்டும் விஜய்யைத் தொடர்பு கொண்டாராம் ஷங்கர்.

VIJAY AND HANSIKA MOTWANI NOW ON VELAYUDHAM SHOOTING

Ilayathalapathy Vijay is vigorously shooting for his next film ‘Velayudham’ that is slated to hit screens for the festive occasion of Diwali. The film is directed by Jeyam Raja and is produced by V. Ravichandran under the banner name of Aascar International. ‘Velayudham’ features Hansika Motwani and Genelia D’ Souza in female lead roles and they have so many intimate scenes with Vijay. There is a particular love making scene between Vijay and Hansika Motwani in this film. Recently, it was shot in Chennai at indoor sets and the security was so tightened so as to prevent any photos to be clicked.

‘Velayudham’ is reported to be a remake of Telugu movie ‘Azad’ that was made in 2000 with Nagarjuna, late actress Soundarya and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty in lead roles.

Vijay is back in 3 Rascals

Well now this one will be a real surprise to every one and good news for all Vijay fans. Guess what? Ilayathalapathy Vijay, riding high on the success of Kaavalan is back with Shankar for 3 Idiots remake to play a role that Aamir Khan played in 2009′s biggest hit.

It was earlier reported that Surya had been officially confirmed to play the lead hero in both Tamil and Telugu remake of the film. Later things got suspicious when we talked to Vijay regarding his walk out from the project as he stated, “It’s not like quitting the film; the circumstances were such that I couldn’t commit myself to doing the film”. Vijay surely hasn’t called it quits with the director or the movie.

Surya was to join the team soon after the 7aam Arivu shoots precisely on the first week of March but now Vijay will supposedly schedule his dates with Shankar after he wraps up his current project ‘Velayudham.’

We heard that the creative indifference between Surya and director Shankar gave rise to this jerky development.

Shankar has decided to keep a cool mind and carry things forward by canning the shots with other members which includes Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj and slick babe Ileana in Ooty next week itself followed by the long Dehradunschedule as earlier planned.

A source close to Shankar said, “Yes. The creative difference between Shankar and Suriya seems to have popped up resulting in abrupt conclusion. Vijay should join us after he completes Velayutham, for which he sports a different look. The shoot will start in Ooty and later will shift to Dehradun.As far as the title is concerned, there are two options — Moovar and 3 Rascals (there is a move to introduce entertainment tax for Tamil films, in which case English titles will be allowed) “

With a lot of speculation over the making and the star cast of the film, the Tamil remake of Aamir Khan’s 3 idiots is already the talk of the town.This will be the next big project for director Shankar after the success of the Rajinikanth-starrer Endhiran.

We guess it’s high time Shankar fixes his final block to this never ending puzzle called 3 Rascals.

Kaavalan makes theatre owners eat their own words

Kaavalan's impressive performance at the box-office has made the theatre owners to eat their own words, as they had underestimated the movie before its release. The movie, which was released on January 15, is still running full houses in most of the theatres in Tamil Nadu.

Kaavalan faced many troubles during the making of the film and while releasing the film. Theatre owners, who were demanding Vijay to to pay 35 % of Sura's loss, threatened him during release that they would not screen the film if he failed to reimburse. They also underestimated the movie stating Vijay's series of flops.

Finally, after Vijay's interference the movie got 350 screens for the release, which is said to be very less considering the actor's earlier releases. Meanwhile, its first week collection was not up to the mark and it received mixed response from the critics. But the movie has done well in the second week, says report.

It's Not Suriya, but Vijay for '3 Idiots’

Nearly before a month, it turned out to be a disappointing affair for the fans of Vijay, when they got to hear that their favorite actor is no more into Shankar’s remake of ‘3 Idiots’. Talks were that Suriya will be replacing him.

But now we hear that Vijay will be precisely signing the project and the official confirmations will be made once the schedule dates are finalized.

Vijay is busy now shooting Jeyam Raja’s ‘Velayudham’ and he will have to adjust dates accordingly. If everything goes well between them, then we have the team of ‘3 Idiots’, which will be Vijay-Jeeva-Srikanth.

Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ Is All Set To Release On His Birthday

Tamil superstar Vijay is going to have a birthday release of his next filmVelayudham this year. The actor will celebrate his 37th birthday on June 22 and the same day, he might end up celebrating the success of his film.


Vijay will be seen with two actresses Genelia and Hansika Motwani in this film. Actress Saranya Mohan plays his sister in this movie. He is now busy shooting for the film with Genelia. Till now, they have shot just a love scene in Chennai.


The film will have music by Vijay Anthony and it is being produced by V. Ravichandran under his banner Aascar International.


Vijay’s last film Kavalan with Asin Thottumkal was released on January 15 with quite positive reviews and is slowing coming out as a Box Office hit.

நந்தலாலா, தா, தென்மேற்கு பருவக்காற்று போன்ற பல தரமான படங்கள் சரியான தியேட்டர் கிடைக்காததாலும், விளம்பரங்கள் இல்லாததாலும் வெற்றி நூலிழையில் கைவிட்ட படங்கள். இதி்ல தா படத்தை மீண்டும் ரீலிஸ் செய்யும் திட்டத்துடன் அதன் தயாரிப்பாளர்கள் அதற்கான வேலைகளில் இறங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள். மைனா என்ற வெற்றிப்படம், உதயநிதி ஸ்டாலின் என்ற பெரிய தயாரிப்பாளர் மூலம் வெளியானதால் வெற்றி பெற முடிந்தது. அந்த படத்தை அவர் வாங்கி வெளியிடாமல் இருந்திருந்தால் தா, நந்தலாலா, தென்மேற்கு பருவக்காற்று போன்ற படங்களின் நிலைதான் மைனாவிற்கும் ஏற்பட்டிருக்கும் என்பது விவரமறிந்தவர்களின் கருத்து.

First MGR,Then Rajini and Now Vijay:Survey in tamil cinema

There is more on Vijay's future plans. Yesterday we said that Vijay has selected his next three producers of his films and he is hoping the experienced hands will further help him to retain his reputation that was lost and found.


Vijay who met the media has further talked about the kinds of films he would be doing in the future. Vijay wants to do a film in the line of Rajini's 'Raja Chinna Roja' which will cater entirely to the children audience. He is also interested in doing a radical film that will talk about the dwindling of agriculture and the lives of farmers.


Meanwhile there is an interesting stat out in favour of Vijay. According to a random survey conducted by the students of Statistics Department from the reputed Loyola College has revealed that Vijay's films are box office hits irrespective of their success in first release.


They say after MGR and Rajini, it is only Vijay who has repeat audiences for his films. After the two legends only Vijay films are having re-releases in single screens and over a period his films end up as commercial hits.


Not that all. The survey reveals another fascinating point. Even in video piracy markets, Vijay films fetch huge profits, much more than films of any other actors of today. Even the catastrophic 'Sura' turned over around Rupees 4 crores in the piracy market it says.

Vijay’s next big banners films

Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay seems to have learnt it fast and is set not to lose the new momentum. He braved all odds almost single handedly and ensured the smooth release of 'Kavalan' much to the shock of his detractors. ’Kavalan' has opened great and Vijay is following it with carefully selected scripts that are produced by reputed banners.

After 'Kavalan' Vijay will do 'Velayudham' for Aascar Films Ravichandran. After that he will do a film for master marketer Kalaipuli Thanu. His third film is going to be even bigger for Super Good Films RB Choudary.

Super Good Films is the banner that gave the first jubilee hit for Vijay in ‘Poove Unakkaga’ and put him on fast track to super stardom. Later films from RBC stable like ‘Thullatha Manamum Thullum’, ‘Love Today’ and ‘Thirupachi’ took Vijay to newer heights. When the magical combination starts work again everybody believe Vijay will be back at the top in all glory.

There is no doubt that he is a genuine superstar, as Kaavalan which released without any kind of publicity, or television support, opened to 100 percent collection throughout Tamilnadu and overseas including metros like Mumbai. 

In this exclusive first-ever interview after the release of Kaavalan, Vijay opens up and about the tough time he had releasing the film.
First and foremost, Congratulations, the way you fought against all odds to release Kaavalan.
Thanks a ton to all my fans and well-wishers for giving Kaavalan an overwhelming response, without their support and prayers it would not have been possible. (Smiles)

This must be your first film, which went through so much of trouble. Please comment?
Yes, I cannot deny it. Everyone knows that pressures and problems during release are very common to all films. In my case, each time such a situation arises, I sit and discuss how to resolve it, call the concerned parties and find a solution and amicably settle it. But Kaavalan was a new experience for me. I knew very well that some vested interests were behind the scenes to see that my film did not release for Pongal.

The best part of it is that I never knew who these people were and why they had to remain behind the scene which made it difficult for me to sort out the issues.

But there were rumours doing the rounds that Kaavalan has been pushed to Jan 28th? Don't you think that it would have been a better idea to get a big release than this?

First and foremost, Kaavalan was planned for a Pongal release and why should I lose out on the all-important holiday weekend? This 28th date was mere speculation of the so-called vested interests who were spreading the rumour. I was upset that we could not release on Jan 14 th and in most of the southern Tamilnadu it opened only for evening and night shows on 15th. Trust me (Smiles), I was not sure myself on 15th morning 9 am whether my film will release or not.

Did you give up your salary for the film?
Well, There is  nothing new to it, as I have done it in the past. Money does not excite me and as far as Kaavalan release goes, it was a big battle for me.
And I had a commitment to my fans and the trade, that the film will release for Pongal.

But inspite of all this and zero-publicity, Kaavalan opened big?
I have to thank my fans for it. They waited patiently outside my house, office, lab and theatres to find out the release time. They supported me, stood with me and fought the battle with me. I am indebted to them for this and seeing them smile and giving the film such a huge welcome, I have forgotten all what I went through. It has given me a new energy and morale boost.

Kaavalan is definitely one of your best films.Your performance was rocking. What are your favourite scenes in the film?
I simply loved my character Bhoominathan who is innocent and simple at heart. It is a pure love story with an amazing twist. I loved the college scenes, the park scene with Asin and the last 20 minutes of climax. Full credit goes to director Siddique.

In spite of limited screens and losing out on your favourite single screens, Kaavalan is slowly turning into a hit.
I have to thank my fans and family audiences for it. And what touched me is that even fans of other actors are watching my film. And what I have to tell them is like the lyrics in my song: Unnaiyaro Pettirikku Ennaiyaro Pettirikku Aanalum Neeyum Naanum Annan Thambi Than  is  apt for this.

How is Velayudham shaping up?
(Smiles) Super. Director M Raja is a talented director and people have so far seen him only directing his brother. After watching Velayudham, I can guarantee that all heroes in Tamil will want to work with him. Hansika and Genelia are my heroines and the reason why I take on villains is sensible and convincing, which I feel will be the highlight.

‘Kaavalan’ a hit in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO: Tamils in Sri Lanka, including those living in the North and East, are flocking to see ‘Kaavalan’ starring Vijay and Asin, despite a call from the Chennai-based South Indian Film Chamber to boycott films starring the actress.

The boycott was announced after Asin attended the Indian International Film Awards held in Colombo last year, violating the chamber’s request for nonparticipation as it was protesting the “massacre” of Tamil civilians by the Lankan armed forces in the final phase of the war against the LTTE in 2009.

‘Kaavalan’ is running to “full houses” in the Tamil-speaking districts of Trincomalee, Vavuniya, and Batticaloa, and “reasonably well” in Jaffna, theater officials told Express on Tuesday.

In Colombo, it is being shown in all the four theatres of the Cinecity complex, and also in Concord, four times a day. In Jaffna, where it is being shown in two halls, the reception has been somewhat affected by the fact that Dhanush’s ‘Aadukalam’ and Karthi’s ‘Sirutthai’ are competing for patronage.

“People say it is a good film,” said the manager of Nelson cinema in Trincomalee about ‘Kaavalan’. The manager of Vasanthi cinema in Vavuniya said that the film showed promise.

When asked about the “Asin factor”, he said there was no problem. Asin is in fact a well-known star among all Sri Lankans including the Sinhalese. She is featured in advertisements of a popular FM radio station, and hoardings with her picture all over the place in Colombo.

'இந்தப் படம் வசூலில் சூப்பர்' என்று சொல்ல முடியாத அளவுக்கு எல்லா படங்களுமே ததிங்கினத்தோம் போடுகின்றன.

வசூலிலும் கூட மற்ற மூன்று படங்களையும் முந்தியது. இப்போது நான்கைந்து நாள்கள் முடிந்த நிலையில், தனுஷின் ஆடுகளத்துடன் முதலிடத்திற்குப் போட்டா போட்டியில் இறங்கியுள்ளது காவலன்.

ஆடுகளத்திற்கு வார இறுதிகளில் 90 சதவீதம் நிரம்பிய திரையரங்குகளில் இப்போது 40 முதல் 50 சதவீத பார்வையாளர்கள் உள்ளனர். ஆன்லைனில் எப்போதும் சுலபத்தில் கிடைக்கிறது இந்தப் படத்துக்கான டிக்கெட்.

இப்படி காவலனும், ஆடுகளமும் முதலிடத்திற்கு முண்டியடித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையில் அடுத்த இடத்தில் சிறுத்தை, இளைஞன் உள்ளன. இதில் இளைஞன் படத்திற்கு பெரிய அளவில் விளம்பரம் செய்தும் கூட படம் குறித்து சத்தத்தையே காணோம்

A Strong comeback by Vijay

Ilayathalapathy was through a dark era with continuous flops on his league and he even pitted himself into the deplorable scenarios of losing his beloved fans. Obviously, with constant flops choking his collars, the actor was in desperate need of a hit. Good Heavens! The actor decided of walking back to the pavilion and stepped into his old shoes of soft romantic character in ‘Kaavalan’. This looks like a surreal experience for not alone Vijay fans, but for the millions of his non-followers. Those who walked into theatres for giggling upon the goofy stunts of actor were locked with surprise as they were emotionally mumbled with this romantic drama.

Vijay is likely trivializing his erroneous decisions now as he chooses to select the best scripts. Although his upcoming film ‘Velayudham’ will be an action packed entertainer laced with comedy, brother-sister sentiments and action, it is expected to have a decorous narration as sources reveal that Jeyam Raja has completely changed the narrative style from original version ‘Azad’.

The actor might have had an idea of choosing ‘Kaavalan’ merely because to get back the sweet boy image to suit the role of ‘Rancho’ in remake of ‘3 Idiots’. Regrettably, the project is out of his hand as Suriya has replaced him. No issues! The actor has couple of experimental projects in hand as he is holding talks with Seeman for ‘Pagalavan’, the film that focuses deeply into the crisis of Eelam Tamilians and how a savior emerges out to rescue them. Sci-fi thriller ‘24’ that was supposed to be done by Vikram seems to have been shifted towards Vijay, in which he plays dual role. Vijay in a sci-fi thriller, doesn’t that sound surprising? He is also discussing scripts with a league of versatile filmmakers.

Let us hope the actor comes up with a big bang establishing his realms once again in the Tamil film industry.

ஒன்றுதிரண்ட 9 வழக்குகள்!

பொங்கலுக்கு 'காவலன்’ வெளிவராது என்று எதிர்த் தரப்பினர் உறுதியாக நம்பினர். ஆனால், வெளிவந்தே தீரவேண்டும் என்பதில் வெறியாக இருந்தார், விஜய். அதற்கான வேலைகளில் சுறுசுறுப்பாக இறங்க... இதனைப் பார்த்துக் கோபமான எதிர்த்தரப்புதான் பல்வேறு வழக்குகளை பாய்ச்சியதாக விஜய் தரப்பு சந்தேகப்படுகிறது. இரண்டு மூன்று நாட்களுக்குள் எத்தனையோ அதிரடி திருப்பங்கள் நடக்க, கடந்த 11-ம் தேதி அன்று மொத்தமாகக் கூட்டிப் பார்த்தால் ஒன்பது வழக்குகள் இந்தப்படத்துக்கு எதிராக குவிந்தன. படப் பெட்டி எப்போது வருமென்று தியேட்டர் அதிபர்கள் பி.பி. எகிறும் அளவுக்கு போன் செய்ய விநியோகஸ்தர்கள் விழிபிதுங்கி நின்றனர்.

கொந்தளித்த ரசிகர்கள்!

வழக்கமாக விஜய் படம் வெளிவரும் ஒரு வாரத்துக்கு முன்பே கட்-அவுட், போஸ்டர் என திமிலோகப்படுத்துவது அவரது ரசிகர்களின் பழக்கம். ரிலீஸ் தேதி குளறுபடியால் பல ஊர்களில் தியேட்டர் அதிபர்கள் போஸ்டரே ஒட்டவில்லை. இதனால், 'விஜய் படம் வெளிவராதோ...?’ என்று நிலைகுலைந்து போனார்கள் விஜய் ரசிகர்கள். அதன் ரியாக்ஷனாகத் தங்களது கொந்தளிப்பைக் காட்டத் துவங்கினர். திருச்சியில் இருக்கும் ரசிகர்கள் விஜய் படம் வெளிவருவதில் குழப்பம் நீடித்ததைத் தொடர்ந்து, ரகளையில் ஈடுபட்டனர். பஸ் கண்ணாடிகளை உடைத்தனர். பவானியில் இருக்கும் விஜய் ரசிகர் ஒருவர் தியேட்டர் வாசலில் தீக்குளிக்க முயல... பதறிப்போன ரசிகர்கள் பத்திரமாக மீட்டு, படம் பார்க்கும்வரை கூடவே இருந்தனர். திருநெல்வேலியில் இருக்கும் ரசிகர்கள் 25 பேர் 'காவலன்’ ரிலீஸுக்காக மொட்டை போட்டு ஆன்மிக வேண்டுதல் செய்தனர். வேலூரில் காலை 5 மணிக்கே தியேட்டரை முற்றுகையிட்ட ரசிகர்கள், 12 மணிக்கு படப்பெட்டி வந்தபிறகு படம் பார்த்துவிட்டுத்தான் திரும்பினர். இதற்கு முன்புவந்த விஜய்யின் சில படங்கள் சரியாக போகாததால், சோர்ந்து போயிருந்த விஜய் ரசிகர்களைக் 'காவலனி’ன் வருகை துள்ளிக்குதிக்க வைத்தது!

இந்தப் படம் வெளியிட முடியாமல் கடந்த இரண்டு நாட்களாக கண்துஞ்சாது தவித்த விஜய்யின் அப்பா எஸ்.ஏ.சந்திரசேகரனை தொடர்புகொண்டபோது, நம்மிடம் மனம்திறந்து பேசினார். 'எதிர்ப்பு இல்லையென்றால் ஒரு இயக்கம் வளராது. நாம் எதிர்ப்பிலே வளர்ந்தவர்கள்...’ என்று அதற்கு விளக்கம் சொன்னார், கலைஞர்.

தி.மு.க-வில் இருந்து தூக்கி எறியப்பட்டதும் அ.தி.மு.க-வைத் தொடங்கி அசுரவேகத்தில் வளர்ந்து, ஆட்சியையும் பிடித்தார், புரட்சித் தலைவர் எம்ஜி.ஆர்.

'காவலன்’ திரையிடுவதற்காக ஒப்புக்கொண்ட தியேட்டர்களில் திடீரென கெடுபிடிகள் செய்து வேறு சில படங்களை வெளியிட்டது ஏன்? எந்த காரணத்தை முன்னிட்டும் 'காவலன்’ ரிலீஸ் ஆகக்கூடாது என்று சிலர் திட்டம் தீட்டியதாகச் சொல்கிறார்களே, அதன் பின்னணி என்ன?

சென்னையில் மட்டுமல்ல.... தமிழ்நாடு முழுக்கப் படத்துக்காக ரசிகர்கள் வைத்த பேனரை எல்லாம் காவல்துறையினரே கழற்றிக்கொண்டு போனதாக எங்களுக்கு செய்தி வந்தது. அவர்களை தூண்டிவிட்ட உந்துசக்தி எது? மக்கள் செல்வாக்குள்ள ஒரு நடிகனுக்கு எதற்கு இத்தனை தடைகள்? தமிழ்நாட்டில் ஒரு தமிழன் வளரக் கூடாதா? தமிழகம் என்ன ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட மனிதர்களின் மொத்தச் சொத்தா? இங்கே இன்னொரு தமிழன் சிறு வீடுகட்டி வாழக்கூடாதா? தமிழர்கள் என்ன சுதந்திர நாட்டின் அடிமைகளா?

எம்.ஜி.ஆர். முதல்வராக இருந்தபோது கலைஞரை ஒரு போராட்டத்துக்காக சிறைப் பிடித்தார். அப்போது கலைஞருக்காக நான்தான் தோள் கொடுத்தேன்.... அவருக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட தண்டனையை நீதிக்கு அளிக்கப்பட்ட தண்டனையாக நினைத்து 'நீதிக்குத் தண்டனை’ என்ற படத்தையே தயாரித்து, இயக்கினேன்... அது எல்லாம் மறந்துபோய் விட்டதா? அந்தப் படம் வெளியானபோது, எம்.ஜி.ஆர் என்னை ராமாவரம் தோட்டத்துக்கு அழைத்தார். அங்கு போகிற என்னிடம் கலைஞர் சொல்லி அனுப்பிய வார்த்தைகள் இப்போதும் என் காதுகளில் ஒலிக்கிறது! சபை நாகரிகம் கருதி அதை இப்போது சொல்ல விரும்பவில்லை.!

அதற்குப் பிறகும் எந்தப் பிரதிபலனையும் எதிர்பாராமல் 'சட்டம் ஒரு விளையாட்டு’ எனும் படத்தை எடுத்தேன். 'இது எங்கள் நீதி’ படம் ரிலீஸானபோது, கலைஞர் முதலமைச்சர்! அப்போது எல்லாம் பாசத்தோடு பழகியிருக்கிறேன். ஒரு படம் எடுத்தவர்கள் எல்லாம் ஆயிரத்தெட்டு சலுகைகளைப் பெறுகிறார்கள். அவர் கதை, வசனத்தில் மூன்று படம் எடுத்தும் ஒரு உதவிகூட நான் கேட்டது இல்லை... அந்தளவுக்கு தன்மானமுள்ள தமிழனான என் மகனுக்கு இத்தனை நெருக்கடியா? தடைக்கற்களா? கலைஞர் மீது வைத்த பாசத்துக்குக் கிடைத்த தண்டனையா?!

ஒரு திரைப்படக் கலைஞனாக நாங்கள் மட்டுமில்லை... எங்களைப்போல் எத்தனையோ பேர் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளோம். சினிமா என்கிற சாதனம் கலைஞர் குடும்பத்துக்கு மட்டுமே சொந்தமாகி விட்டது! இந்த வேதனையைத் தாங்கிக்கொண்டு மேடைகளில் போலித்தனமாக பாராட்டிக்கொண்டு இருக்கிறார்கள் பலர்! உண்மைகளை அப்பட்டமாக உடைத்துப் போடுவதால் என்மீது கோபப்படலாம். அந்தக் கோபத்தின் வெளிப்பாடு வன்முறையாகக்கூட இருக்கலாம்! ஆனால், நான் சாவுக்குப் பயந்தவனல்ல! அப்படி பயந்து இருந்தால்... எம்.ஜி.ஆரை எதிர்த்து கலைஞருக்குக் கைகொடுத்து இருக்கமாட்டேன்!'' என்றார் ஆவேசமாக.

அதே சூட்டோடு, நடிகர் விஜய்யிடமும் பேசினோம். ''14-ம் தேதி வெளியாக வேண்டிய படத்துக்கு ஏகப்பட்டத் தடைகள் வந்தது. 15-ம் தேதிதான் படப் பெட்டியே வெளியூர்களுக்குப் போனது. பாதிக்கப்பட்ட விநியோகஸ்தர்களை எல்லாம் நான் சென்னைக்கு அழைத்தேன். நஷ்டம் எவ்வளவு என்று கேட்டேன். 3 கோடி என்றார்கள். உடனே அதற்கான செக்கை கொடுத்தேன். 'காவலன்’ படத்தால் எனக்கு இழப்பு 3 கோடி... இது பரவாயில்லை. ஆனால், நினைத்த மாதிரி என் படத்த ரிலீஸ் செய்த திருப்தி இப்போது இருக்கிறது, அதுபோதும் எனக்கு. எனக்கு என்னுடைய ரசிகர்கள்தான் முக்கியம். பொங்கல் தினத்தன்று அவர்கள் ஏமாறக்கூடாது. எப்போதும் என்னை வாழ வைக்கும் அந்த தெய்வங்களை நான் கைவிடமாட்டேன். அவர்களது அன்புதான் இந்தத் தடைகளை உடைத்தது. இந்தப் படை இருக்கும் போது எனக்கு என்ன கவலை?'' ரத்தினச் சுருக்கமாக முடித்தார் விஜய்.

350 திரையரங்குகளில் 'காவலன்': வென்று காட்டிய விஜய்

அனைத்து பிரச்சனைக்கும் முற்றுப்புள்ளி வைத்து வென்று விட்டார் விஜய். கிட்டதட்ட 350 திரையரங்குகளில் காவலன் நாளை சொன்னபடியே வெளியாகிறது.

தற்சமயம் வரை காவலன் ரிலீஸ் கேள்விக்குறியாக இருந்தது. சென்னை திரையரங்குகளில் காவலனின் கனினி முன்பதிவு கூட துவங்காமல் இருந்த நிலையில், தற்போது காவலன் ரிலீஸ் உறுதி செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. தமிழகம் முழுவதும் 350க்கும் மேற்பட்ட முக்கிய திரையரங்குகளில் காவலன் நாளை (ஜனவரி 15) வெளியாகிறது. திரையரங்குகளின் முன்பதிவும் ஆரம்பித்துவிட்டது.

'Kavalan' in 350 theatres

Vijay would have never dreamt of the obstacles he had faced before getting his 'Kavalan' out to the theatres. The good news is that Vijay has cleared all of them with great conviction and releasing 'Kavalan' in 350 theatres. Technology has come to his aid largely as almost 99 percent of the theatres screening 'Kavalan' are equipped with QUBE system. This is said to have rudely shocked the forces which were working against the release of the film.

Sources say Vijay was ready to make any kind of sacrifice to release 'Kavalan' as scheduled and he has succeeded in a big way. Of all the big releases on Pongal, 'Kavalan' has got the maximum number of screens, there by proving a point.

After 'Kavalan', Karthi's 'Siruthai' is being screened in around 300 theatres and then comes 'Aadukalam'. The Dhanush film is promoted as an arty commercial film and it has got approximately 200 screens. Pa. Vijay's much hyped 'Ilaignan' will grace around 100 theatres.
