இளைய தளபதி விஜய் தனது “காவலன்” படத்தை முடித்துவிட்டு, அடுத்த படமான வேலாயுதத்தில் மும்முரமகவும், வேகமாகவும் நடித்து வருகிறார். வேலாயுதத்தின் அடுத்தகட்ட படப்பிடிப்பு பொள்ளாச்சியில் இன்று முதல் தொடங்கி வரும் 30-ம் தேதி வரை நடைபெறவுள்ளது. அங்கு பல முக்கிய காட்சிகள் படமாக்கப்படவுள்ளன.

VIJAY’S RACE FOR VELAYUDHAM

Vijay is seriously concentrating in his next film Velayudham. The next schedule of this film’s shooting will begin in Pollachi on November 20th and proceed till 30th. Several important scenes of Velyudham will be shot in this location.

Genelia and Hansika Motwani, the two leading ladies of this film, are also camping in Pollachi along with the unit. Further, director Jayam Raja is also keen on finishing the scenes involving Vijay as the actor has to move on to his next flick – the Shankar-directed 3 Idiots – which will begin in December.

Year 2011 is expected to be a good one for Vijay as two of his films - Velayudham and 3 Idiots remake are to hit the marquee.

So lyric writing is well within his genes. Still he himself convinced director Shankar and worked with him in enthiran. Apart from this he has worked with Vidya sagar for Ilamai Ido Idho.Currently he is working on the dialogues of the Tamil version of 3 Idiots, doing the dialogues and lyrics for the remake of My dear Kutti chattan. Any how his next release will be Ko. An Assistant professor in Anna University wants to introduce lot of technical terms in Tamil that all of can use.

VIJAY, ASIN IN NEVER SEEN BEFORE LOCATION

Vijay and Asin have reportedly completed the shooting of one duet song that was pending for Kaavalan. Despite the dubbing and a major part of the post-production work being completed sometime ago, the team was not in a position to announce the release of either the movie or its audio as this song was to be shot. 

The latest from the Kaavalan team is that Vijay and Asin have just returned from Lavasa, near Pune, where the song was canned recently. Lavasa is a picturesque location and is the first planned hill city in India where a Tamil film has been shot for the first time.

Shankar's 3 Idiots confirmed!

Shankar and Gemini Film Circuit (GFC) have finally firmed up on the star cast of their remake of Raju Hirani's 3 Idiotsremake in Tamil and Telugu.

The film will have a Tamil title for tax reasons; while in Telugu it will be called3 Rascals.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay (Mahesh Babu in Telugu) will play the role done by Aamir Khan, Madhavan's role is being done by Jiiva and Sharman Joshy's character will be done by Srikanth. Sathyaraj is doing Bomman Iraniâ,s role and Ileana has been cast in Kareena Kapoor's role.

Manoj Paramahams will be the cinematographer, and Harris Jayaraj will provide the music.

Harris in an interview to a newspaper has said: "Shankar is a director who understands film music and its importance.  I have already given Shankar one song; a mass number, which is the All is well equivalent."

Shankar's first remake will start rolling from December 6 in a Chennai studio. Later the shoot will shift to Dehradoon.

Vijay, Asin's crackling chemistry

Looks like Siddique's Kavalan, starring Vijay and Asin in the lead, is gearing up to hit the screens in December. 


We hear that the lead pair is back in the city after shooting for a song in India's first planned hill city, Lavasa, a few days ago. Situated near Pune, Lavasa is as dreamy as it can get. 

A source close to the unit tells us that Kavalan is the first Tamil film to shoot in the picturesque hill station. 
The source adds, "A romantic number composed by Vidyasagar was picturised in the location for about three days. Choreographer Dinesh was extremely impressed with the way Vijay and Asin have swayed to the number. Their chemistry is quite crackling. This number will definitely top the charts." 

Well, after Sivakasi and Pokkiri, we are waiting to see Vijay and Asin set the screen on fire! 

3 Idiots begins in December 5 in Delhi

Reports that the makers are planning to commence the shooting of the Tamil and Telugu versions in Dehradun (where the original version was shot) were wrong. Master film maker Shankar's proposed Tamil and Telugu remakes of Aamir Khan's smash hit 3 Idiots will start rolling from December 5 in Delhi. However, the exact location of the shooting is kept under wraps.
Vijay and Mahesh Babu will play Aamir's role in the Tamil and Telugu versions respectively. Arya and Jeeva will play the roles played by Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the original, while Sathyaraj will play the role of the principal. Ileana will enact Kareena’s role in both versions.
Some changes are being made in the script to suit the tastes of the South Indian audiences. Harris Jayaraj will compose the music and Manoj Paramahamsa will crank the camera.

VINAY REJECTED 3 IDIOTS OFFER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grapevine is abuzz that Vinay Rai will play one of the three main characters in the Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster 3 Idiots. “It’s true that I was approached for Madhavan’s role,” reveals Vinay, “I saw the original in Hindi and loved every bit of the film. Moreover, I am a big fan of Shankar sir and working with him would be a dream come true for me. But when I analysed the role, I realised that it was not quite meaty. So, after couple of days, I got back to the production team and told them that I cannot take it up, ” clarifies Vinay. The actor is currently busy shooting for an untitled project opposite Sharmila Mandre, who is making her debut in Tamil with this film. “She is pretty and it’s great working with her. Madhesh is directing this commercial potboiler. It’s quite some time since I did a Tamil film and frankly speaking, I didn’t get many good scripts. This film has a lot of comedy and it was great fun working with seasoned comedians like Santhanam and Ganja Karuppu,” says Vinay, who is also busy with a Telugu project, Veela, opposite Nisha Aggarwal. “Nisha felt that I shared a great chemistry with Kajal in Modhi Vilayadu and that ’s the reason she would like to work with me. I am still teasing her saying that she should ask her entire family to act with me, ” he quips.

Shankar has been in the news for his next movie which is a remake of the Hindi movie 3 Idiots. There has been lots of speculation about the cast and crew for quite sometime now. The current update is that Vijay, Jiiva and Illeana have been confirmed to act in the movie. Now it is being said that Shankar and the crew will set the ball rolling of 3 Idiots from December 5, 2010.

It is also being rumoured that the team is planning to can shots in Dehradun, where the original version was shot. So it seems that it is indeed a remake…quite literally!

SHANKAR’S 3 IDIOTS ON THE ROLL

Shankar’s first remake film 3 Idiots will start rolling from December 5th, 2010. The shooting of this film will begin in Delhi but the exact location is kept under wraps for now. Vijay and Jiiva have been confirmed for the two main roles in this remake.

So what about the third role? There was rumor that Srikanth is under consideration and this has now turned out to be true. Competing with Srikanth for the role is Vinay. It is said that either Srikanth or Vinay may be signed up for the third role.
