ALL ABOUT 'FOUR' PLAY IN NANBAN

Director Shankar is always known for that extra mile he goes to make sure his film appeals to all sections of the audience. And the man has employed the same tactics in his forthcoming film Nanban as well.

We hear the director is shooting a duet song for the film in a famous studio in the city and is making sure Vijay and Ileana’s looks in the same are remembered for years to come.

A source says, “Vijay has four different never-seenbefore get-ups in this song and it takes him close to two hours to apply make-up and another two hours to remove it. Even Ileana looks different in the song. Shankar patiently waits while the actors get their make-up done.”

Shankar is a director who pays a lot of attention to the way the characters look in his films. Many still remember Kamal Haasan’s look in Indian and Rajinikanth’s get-ups for a song in Endhiran. We’re sure Vijay too will now join the list.

Director Shankar assures grandeur in all his works. And the director is set to prove this once again in his forthcoming film 'Nanban', which has Vijay, Srikanth, Jiiva and Ileana D'cruz in lead roles.

"A song for Nanban was shot recently on a grandly erected set at a popular studio. Vijay and Ileana appeared in four never seen before get-ups for this number, which would be a visual treat to the audience," say sources in the know.

"All the four attires were designed by a team led by Shankar after carefully referring latest trends and styles. A lot of money and time was spent for the costumes and sets for this particular song," they add.

It is also said that it took two hours for Vijay to wear a particular make-up that was required for this number. "The actor was all patient and the director brought out the best from him. All is well with Nanban so far, aptly reflecting its tagline," sources say.
