Vijay’s Kavalan is facing trouble from one quarter or the other and it now looks like the film is not to be released on January 14th as scheduled. The latest problem that has cropped up concerns a distributor and Kavalan’s producer Shakthi Chidambaram and this has come as a stumbling block for the film’s release.
This seems to have upset Vijay and he is said to have declared that it is his prestige at stake and wants to release the film at any cost. It is reported that Vijay has decided to settle the dues that Shakthi Chidambaram owes to the distributor and release Kavalan.
Following this, it is expected that Kavalan will hit the screens on Pongal Day (January 15, 2011). However, this has not been confirmed yet.
