Leading production company Gemini Films will produce the Telugu remake of 2009 Bollywood comedy 3 Idiots.
Titled Three Rascals, the Telugu version will star Mahesh Babu in Amir Khan’s role. The other two heroes are not yet confirmed. Harris Jayaraj will score music. Three Rascals will go to floors in November.
3 Idiots will be remade both in Telugu and Tamil by maverick director Shankar; this is his first direct Telugu film in his 17 year film career. Sources say that Tamil version may have Vijay in the lead role.
